Mary Shapiro's "A Picture History of the Brooklyn Bridge: With Prints and Photographs" is as colossal, magnificent, and substantial as the subject of the book. While it might seem gratuitous to have illustrations of the same structure, the different angles, times of day, events and maintain the audience's fascination/5(5).

The Great Bridge is no exception, but there were times when I had to push myself to read through (only a few times). This is not the fault of the author, but my own.
